What’s your spiritual quotient?

We all have come across terms like intelligence quotient – used to measure presence of mind of an individual, emotional quotient – tells us about the sensitivity and demonstrative power, memory quotient – name itself suggests what it reports..... And then there comes spiritual quotient.

Spiritual quotient has been given such a low importance that many people do not even know about it. Thankfully, I live in a country like India where a lot of importance is given to spirituality. Many see spirituality as a way to lead a prosperous life.

Spirituality is a way of living. It is NOT LIMITED to idol worship, chanting mantras or listening to discourse. And I repeat – spirituality is NOT any of these.

IT IS ABOUT knowing your true self, having a contented state of mind and being someone who is strong from inside, no matter what the circumstances are. The practical aspect of spirituality covers meditation, which introduces you to your true self and makes you realise that you are blessed to have a life worth living. People are dying somewhere; floods are eroding houses, quakes are shattering dreams, thousands are becoming orphans due to nonsense wars and terrorism and then there are people like us – who are cosily sitting at our desk while reading this. It is time when we can make a choice of what I want to be – ordinary or extraordinary – and remember – the route to becoming an ordinary person is very well written but to become extraordinary, there has to be sacrifice, discipline and motivation. Do you have them?

Yes, we definitely need to be more courageous spirits..."strong inside no matter what the circumstances". I am working on this right now in my own life. Knowing ones true self...I feel rather like I am reading my own thoughts that I write down in my journal and poems, as I read your thoughts here...

Your right spirituality is not just sitting around going "ooohhmm"..I totally agree...:o)

Thank you for this great post. Looks like a lovely "deep" blog you have here.

Blessings,

Demystifying The 4:00 am Morning Routine

What happens when you get up early? That’s a question I have researched many times. I like getting up early and knowing that it does good for my body & mood; I get that extra strength to keep this habit. In this article, I explore some of the deeper mysteries of how the mind works when it is activated earlier than usual. Hope you feel as inspired reading it as much as I loved writing it. Making the morning routine To those who can get up early without setting alarm, I say you are blessed. Not many have that much of control over the self. To me, the greatest thing that made me develop this habit was reframing my idea of it. I had tried everything. From putting up a running gear in bed for the morning to setting puzzles as the alarm on the phone, I did it all. Some days I got up before the alarm even rang, but other days were a pain. I slogged out of bed, put down the alarm, and slept again. The intoxicating morning sleep had me in its ever-long grasps. Every night I wo

Behaviors That Help Develop Personal Accountability

Embarking on a journey towards personal accountability involves a fusion of ancient wisdom and modern psychology. Research illuminates the transformative impact of spirituality and meditation , guiding individuals toward heightened self-awareness and moral clarity. Research underscores the role of specific behaviors in personal accountability (Johnson & Brown, 2019). Engaging in continuous self-reflection and goal-setting fosters personal growth (Williams et al., 2020). Additionally, accountability is cultivated through transparent communication and a commitment to ethical decision-making (Smith, 2018). By intertwining the practices mentioned in these research papers with stress management techniques, individuals forge a resilient mindset, enabling them to navigate challenges with composure. The tapestry of personal accountability also weaves through behavioral choices, emphasizing transparent communication and ethical decision-making. As we unravel the layers of spirituality, med
